1. Minzberg et al. broke down the ten strategic schools they indentified into three main categories- 3 prescriptive; 6 descriptive; and one configurative. Choose any two strategies of the prescriptive school, conceptualizing them by showing: what they aim at accomplishing, highlighting their premises, assumptions, contributions, as well as their critique or shortcomings.
2. Choose any two strategies of the seven descriptive of configurative schools conceptualizing them by showing, what they aim at accomplishing, and highlighting their premises, assumptions, contributions, as well as their critique or shortcomings.
3. H.Simon stressed the role of decision making in determining not only what is to be done, but also the process of actual doing. How did he conceptualize decision making in administration in terms of the relationship between facts, values, judgment and evalution of decisions?
4. According to H.Simon, to construct an Administrative theory, it is important to examine the notion of rationality. What does he mean by rationality/bounded rationality, and how does he link the concept to the construction of what he terms the means-ends chains of decision-making?
